Hi my daughter is anaphylactic to all dairy products and allergic to garlic. Can you tell if she could eat anything at the Disney's Art of Animation Resort dining or even in the Disney Parks?

    Hi Charline!

This is a great question.  Many people consider Walt Disney World to be the "gold standard" for a vacation destination for guests with food allergies.  However, you will have more options at a Table Service restaurant than you will anywhere else.  When you are at a Table Service restaurant, the chef will usually come out to your table to discuss the allergies and will make a custom meal as required.  There are some standard dairy free products in the parks at some counter and Quick Service locations, but it is very limited.  I would recommend staying at a resort with a Table Service restaurant as opposed to staying at the Art of Animation; you will just have more options available.

You can make Table Service dining reservations by phone by calling 407-WDW-DINE or online.  When calling you can mention your food allergies then. When reserving online there is a section called Dietary Needs that you can click on to add more information about the allergies.  You can even pre-order special meals, but keep in mind they may have a cancellation fee attached to them for no shows.

Also e-mail specialdiets@disneyworld.com to let them know of your upcoming vacation and your food allergies. They will email you back with several attachments and additional information.4

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
