My daughter already has a MagicBand from a visit last summer. MyDisney Experience says it's going to ship 2 bands, but we only need one (for me) - and then need to connect her older band to the new trip. How do we do that? Thanks!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Amy!

Currently, Guests staying on property receive a new MagicBand for each stay at the Walt Disney World Resort. So that is why you see that two MagicBands will be shipped to you. If your daughter wants to reuse her MagicBand from a previous visit, that's fine, too! My son has a Baymax retail MagicBand that he prefers to use. Just make sure that your daughter's band is still active in her My Disney Experience account under the MagicBands and Cards section. Be sure to link your theme park tickets in your My Disney Experience account so that you can begin booking your FastPass+ experiences 60 days prior to your resort arrival.

When we check-in to our resort, I always have the Front Desk Cast Member check all of our MagicBands, so we know they are all active and properly linked to the correct family member. You don't want to get all the way to your resort room and realize that you can't open your door.

I hope this answers your question. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Have a magical day!
