My daughter and I along with a couple of friends are headed to WDW in Sept. We are staying at Shades of Green. Can you tell me if my daughter can bring her mermaid tail to swim in? Where better to pretend to be Ariel than Disney? Thanks!

    Hi, Cindy!

Welcome to Walt Disney World! While I have never stayed at Shades of Green, I have heard nothing but great things about this resort. The location is so handy being close to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort and the Magic Kingdom.

I looked at the Shades of Green website, and regarding pool toys it states: "all guest(s) must check in with the lifeguard on duty and get permission prior to usage." The usage of your daughter's swim tail would be up to their discretion.

The pool areas at Shades of Green look amazing! There is nothing better than lounging pool side for a nice mid-day break after all the hustle and bustle at the theme parks. Take time to relax and soak in the Florida sunshine.

Wishing you a magical visit to Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
