Hello and welcome to planDisney, Katie!
I am so excited to hear that you will soon bring your Mouseketeers to the Walt Disney World Resort! Get ready to make magical memories you will cherish forever!
Katie, as the mother of a big baby myself, I also worry about mask requirements next time we visit with our youngest daughter. She will also be just under 2-years-old when we visit in the summer, and although she is actually fine with wearing a disposable face mask for a short period, I am sure she will not be able to wear one all day long. I had similar concerns with my oldest daughter when she was almost 3-years-old during a previous Disney vacation. Although she did not need theme park tickets because of her age, I was concerned we would be asked to provide age proof at park entrance because of her size. I decided to take her passport with me (we are international visitors), but it seems Mickey knew she was under 3 and Cast Members did not question her age. If you are concerned this might happen due to your child’s size, I recommend doing as I did and bringing a copy of her birth certificate just in case. I also plan on bringing my youngest daughter's passport to the parks this summer. We will likely not be asked to provide proof of age for our babies, but I personally always like to prepare for all possible scenarios.
planDisney tip: As you plan for your visit, be sure to
check out all the magic waiting for your little ones, and remember that
all four parks offer Baby Care Centers where you can stop for a diaper change, baby supplies, a snack, and more!
Thank you for stopping by with a great question, Katie. I hope this helps you while planning and that you come back to visit us for more tips and advice!
Best magical wishes,
Thiana
