My daughter will be almost 15mo old when we go to Disney, I heard she can go on rides w/o height restrictions, is this true? And if so, does she just sit on our laps on rides like Dumbo & Astro Orbiter? Thanks

    Hi Jessica!

I've got some great news for you...your daughter will definitely be able to enjoy the attractions at Walt Disney World that don't have height restrictions. Both of my children were first introduced to Walt Disney World before their first birthdays and we took them each on a bunch of the attractions. It was so fun to watch their faces along the way!

With respect to your question about seating arrangements, either my wife or I held our little munchkins in our laps while we experienced the attractions. So, if you want to give your daughter the experience of an attraction like Dumbo The Flying Elephant (which I highly recommend that you do because both of my children loved it), she can just sit in your lap and enjoy the flight.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

While both of my children were totally mesmerized by the attractions we took them on during their respective first visits, they both were a little hit-or-miss on the shows, parades, and fireworks. What we ended up doing was staking out viewing locations that were easy to exit in the event we needed to pull the proverbial ripcord.

Here's a bonus tip from your buddy Derek:

Your daughter will be exposed to countless sensory experiences during your vacation. As a result, you will see so much joy and excitement in her face as she comes in contact with those experiences. Make sure you take tons of pictures of her because they will end up being priceless souvenirs from a major milestone in her life. When I have a stressful day, I look back at the photos I took of my children at Walt Disney World and it makes all of my tension fade away.

I hope that helps. If you should have any other questions, I'd love to hear back from you.

    Best regards,
    Derek
