My daughter is allergic to mold and dust. Is it possible to choose a room with no carpet. We will stay at Disney's All Star Sports Resort. Thank you.

    Hi, Camyla!

I am sorry to say that all rooms in Walt Disney World have carpet. I do not know if it would be sufficient, but you can request a "VIP CLEANING" of your room before you arrive. This would entail a cleaning of the carpets, drapes, clean linens that have been double rinsed, and allergen free pillows. I would inquire with a Cast Member when making your room reservation, and also reach out to your resort a week or so before your arrival to double check that the cleaning is scheduled. Do not wait until you arrive, as this will be difficult to get the VIP deep cleaning done immediately. The more notice they have, the better.

You can also speak with your resort about any other needs you might have for your room (unscented cleaners, soaps, special pillows, etc.) Guest Services can help with all the details with a call to (407)939-5277.

While I cannot guarantee that they can address every issue with your daughter's allergies, they will do their best to accommodate you.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
