Julie! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for trusting us with your great question. Your very special visit to the Disneyland Resort is coming up so soon - I bet everyone is excited and counting down the days!
For Guests with food allergies, heading to a theme park can understandably cause a lot of worry (for their family too)! Hopefully I can help take some stress of your plate, because you've got a birthday to celebrate!
If you haven't made your
dining reservation yet (which you absolutely should!), you're able to share about any special dietary requests when you make the reservation. Indicate these specific allergies under "Dietary Requests."
If you've already made your dining reservation, Julie, that's just fine! Whether or not you were able to indicate your allergy-friendly requests at the time you made the reservation, make sure to mention them when you check-in for your meal, and also remind your server. I also recommend, upon your arrival, you request to speak with the Chef or a special diets-trained Cast Member. At many dining locations, especially
character dining, this resource is available to Guests. Although not a guarantee, it's worth the ask!
My planDisney pal,
Tishra, shares that she's always had kind, accommodating service when navigating food allergies at Disneyland dining locations, and I trust that will be your experience too! She also recommends a
wonderful resource on the Disneyland website for any Guest who has allergy-friendly or special dietary requests. It's a really helpful overview!
Julie, I truly hope you have the most magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. Make sure your daughter stops by City Hall on Main Street for her complimentary "Happy Birthday!" button! She (or anyone on her behalf) can also ask a Cast Member in any of the shops, too. In my experience, it adds a little extra magic to a special day.
If any other questions come up in your planning, Julie, please don't hesitate to
stop by again. Happy to help!
Your pal,
McCayla
