    What are the dates for WDW’s 50th Year Celebration in 2021? Thank you.

    Hi, Michelle!  Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    Can you believe that when the Walt Disney World Resort opened on October 1, 1971, it consisted only of Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground?  My how the Most Magical Place on Earth has grown over the yEARs!  I am sure that Walt Disney World Resort's 50th anniversary will be practically perfect in every way.  However, since the 50th anniversary is still a couple of years away, we don't really know many details about the celebration at this point.  Be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog for all of the 50th anniversary information as it is announced.

    There are so many new and exciting things happening at the Walt Disney World Resort.  From those new additions opening in the next few weeks and months, such as Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and the Disney Skyliner gondola system, to the ongoing, multi-year transformation of Epcot, there is so much to look forward to.  As we approach the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort, now more than ever, it's the perfect time to plan a visit.
