Hey there, Chryssa. Thanks for asking your question here at planDisney. I'm excited to see that your trip to the most magical place on earth is right around the corner. I bet you are getting so excited.
Chryssa, I took a look at the Walt Disney World
availability calendar and can see where the parks are starting to fill up for your travel dates. What I've noticed is that more
park pass reservations do tend to become available but you have to be diligent about checking back since there is not a wait-list at this time. Plans change for Guests like you and me all of the time whether it's a change in the itinerary or canceling a trip altogether. When these changes are made, they are reflected in the calendar. So if someone drops a spot at Disney's Hollywood Studios, one will become available. The key here is constantly checking back. I've had some luck over the past few months grabbing a spot by checking when I've woken up, around lunchtime and then again in the late evening hours.
If you aren't able to secure a park pass reservation for Disney's Hollywood Studios I would recommend upgrading your tickets to include the
park hopper option. Park hopping is when you are able to visit multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day. Park hopping has just recently returned to Walt Disney World and I am so glad. It's actually my favorite touring method of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Since its return, there are a few new rules regarding park hopping. Currently, Guests wishing to park hop must have standard theme park admission with the park hopper option. You'll also need to make park pass reservations for the first park you'd like to visit each day. On the day or days you'd like to park hop, you must scan in and enter the theme park with the park pass reservation before visiting another Walt Disney World Theme Park. Park hopping hours are currently 2:00 p.m. until each park closes daily.
What you can do is grab a park pass reservation for whatever is available, visit that park before 2:00 p.m. and then make your way over to Disney's Hollywood Studios. You'll be able to enjoy so many attractions from the afternoon on and I've noticed that later in the evening the lines tend to be a lot less busy. If you aren't able to check off all of your must-do's in one visit, you can always hop over there another day.
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm here to help. Have fun!
