We have our dates set for our first family Disney trip September 1-8! I have read in different places to avoid the Extra Magic Hours because of that park being too crowded on that day, but will we have to worry about that going in September? Thanks!

    Hi Melissa!
How cool that you have that first trip coming up soon! It will be incredible!!
I personally never go to a park that is having Morning Extra Magic Hours. The increased crowd levels negate any advantage of getting in early. That said, I do go to Evening Extra Magic Hours because the crowds are more evenly disbursed over several hours and some guests call it a day by the time the extra hours kick in.
September is not immune from having larger crowds. Even though the majority of the country is back in school, September and October are big months for European guests. It is never really empty or slow anymore. I guess you could try a park having morning EMH just to test the crowd level theory, and if it's crazy, avoid those for the rest of your trip.
I hope this helps and I wish you a very Magical first trip!! :)
