    What dates have the free dining in August began in the past few years? I fully understand that they may or may not offier it this year. Thank you

    Thanks for your question.  Free dining promotions at Walt Disney World are incredibly hard to predict.  When promotions of this variety were offered in August in years past, they were available toward the end of the month.  Theme park attendance rates begin to drop toward the end of summer when students return to school.  Therefore, late August, and most of September (except Labor Day weekend) are prime possibilities for free dining promotions.  Whether a promotion of this type will be offered in 2012 is unknown at this time.  My recommendation to you would be to book your vacation for the time you wish to travel now.  Then, if a free dining promotion becomes available, you can call to revise your reservation.  Keep your eye on the special offers page at the Walt DIsney World homepage. 

    I'll keep my fingers crossed that a promotion that fits your travel schedule will be released soon.
