    What are the dates for employee appreciation events? What days will these be on for next year? I need to schedule my trip 11 months in advance and I am trying to make sure I schedule days where the parks will not be closed for special events.

    Hi Craig,

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I think you must have seen the articles about the Cast Member Service Appreciation night that was held at Walt Disney World Resort recently. Magic Kingdom Park did close early one evening in order to honor the service anniversaries and retirements for long-time Cast Members of Walt Disney World Resort. By all accounts, the Cast Members who make all of our vacations so memorable were honored for their kind service to guests. This event is not always held in the same place and it is announced as soon as their details are finalized. 

    I can understand the difficulty of planning your vacation eleven months in advance when park schedules are not finalized. I do wish I could borrow Madame Leota's crystal ball and be able to see into the future because schedules and events are always changing at the Walt Disney World Resort. As Walt Disney himself said, "we keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things." I hope you will be able to plan a vacation that will be filled with magical memories for you.
