what are the dates that Disneyland is decorated for Christmas? What are the least busiest days during the Christmas season?

Greetings and welcome to planDisney, Denise. Thanks for stopping by to share this question with us. It sounds like you are planning for a merry and magical visit to the Disneyland Resort and I'm thrilled to help out.

The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort begin on November 15, 2024 and run through January 6, 2025. It's the merriest time of the year and something that I think everyone should experience at least once. The resort will be decked out in its holiday best and there will be no shortage of magic. I can't wait to walk down Main Street, U.S.A. under all of the twinkling lights.

Overall, the resort tends to be busier than normal during the seasons of Halloween Time and the Holidays. I do find that it tends to be not quite as busy earlier in the season and I try to visit within the first week of the season kicking off. You'll find that it typically starts to pick up around the Thanksgiving holiday and then the week of Christmas and New Year's Eve. You may even find that the couple of weeks after Thanksgiving is a good time to visit before many schools begin their winter breaks. Keep in mind that things can be different every year and crowds are always unpredictable.

No matter when you decide to go, you're going to have a magical time. You may even consider adding Lightning Lane Multi Pass to your theme park tickets to help reduce your wait times for select attractions and breeze through the line. It's a great service to use to make the most of your day. With this service, you will also receive unlimited digital Disney PhotoPass downloads from the day to look back on all of the magical memories you made. That iconic picture in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle covered in snow is calling. Oh, and you can't forget to snap a photo in front of the Holiday Tree in Town Square.

Denise, while there's not an exact science to answer your question, I hope sharing some of my experiences is helpful as you decide when to visit. Please come back to visit us with any other questions you might be curious about. Here's wishing you a magical time at the Happiest Place on Earth!
