Hi Richard,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! 2023 will be here before you know it, so it’s great to hEAR that you’re planning early for your next Walt Disney World Resort holiday.
Since we don’t know about 2023 event offerings just yet, we can think about past experiences. From my experience, the Halloween season begins in early fall. For example,
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party starts on August 12th this year. Then the Christmas season normally follows right after Halloween, so you might see decorations going up in early November.
If you’re looking for that sweet spot to experience both seasons, I definitely suggest coming the last few days of October and then staying for a few extra days in early November. This way at the beginning of your trip, you’d be able to see the fall décor and hopefully by the end of your trip you’d be able to see some of the Christmas décor. Again, this is just based off of my past experience and 2023 could be different, but this is definitely a good place to start your planning!
Also stay connected to the
Disney Parks Blog over the coming months. This resource will have the latest information about the Walt Disney World Resort and all the fun you can look forward to during the holiday seasons!
