Our dates are still up for debate! What are the value seasons? I'm trying to weigh crowds v. cost v. temps. Water parks are a must for my autistic son. With season passes, we're planning on 21 days.

    Hi Rachel!

Wow!  A 21 consecutive day vacation to Walt Disney World sounds like a dream come true.  It will give you plenty of time to truly relax and soak in all the magic Disney World has to offer.  Value seasons will vary based on which Disney Resort you decide to call home during your vacation, but most resorts have value seasons during certain dates in January and from the second week of August through September.  You can get a fantastic deal on your resort stay during this time of year and the added benefit of having low crowd levels which make touring the parks a breeze.

Beyond the 4 main parks, Disney's water parks are phenomenal.  It is a great way to spend a warm Florida day soaking in the fun or relaxing on either parks lazy rivers.  One thing to keep in mind is that each water park will undergo a annual refurbishment, luckily not at the same time.  Typhoon Lagoon will typically undergo its annual refurbishment in late October through late December.  The exact dates for 2013 are October 27th through December 21st.  Blizzard Beach immediately follows after Typhoon Lagoon for its annual refurbishment typically reopening in mid March for Spring Break crowds.  In 2014 the refurbishment dates are December 22nd through March 15th in 2014.  Remember that these dates are subject to change so make sure to check back with us or Disney World's refurbishment schedule when planning your vacation.

If you already have a couple of resorts in mind for you vacation, please let me know by asking the questions directly to me and I will be happy to help you with the exact dates for each value season.  I will be more than glad to help you with any other information you may need so you can get going on planning that magical 21-day vacation.

    Happy Planning!
