Hi there, Jennifer!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! It's always great to hear from another Jennifer (although most people call me Jen...except for my mom, who just can't bring herself to do it).
In my experience, Disneyland Resort does not typically advertise the Candlelight Processional dates, as it is mainly limited to invited Guests. In previous years, it often took place over the first weekend of December, with two performances each on Saturday and Sunday. I'm not sure when it will happen this year.
Seats are typically reserved for invited Guests, but sometimes a small number of other Guests can watch it from the standing area. If you are interested, I recommend getting there early, as it is often offered on a first-come, first-served basis. With very limited space, watching the event is not guaranteed. I was lucky to attend a Candlelight Processional a few years ago, and it was truly a bucket list experience! The choir was incredibly moving, and the speaker was from one of my favorite shows. I loved every moment!
While you are in the parks, set aside time to enjoy all of the
holiday festivities! It's my most favorite time of year to visit Disneyland! My kids always enjoy
A Christmas Fantasy Parade, and I love the
"Believe...in Holiday Magic" nighttime spectacular. Snacking my way through the
Disney Festival of Holidays in Disney California Adventure Park is also high on my priority list! Make sure to follow the
Disney Parks Blog because they often release a Foodie Guide as it gets closer to the start of the season.
Jennifer, I hope you get to catch a glimpse of the Candlelight Processional. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience! If you have more questions, please send them to planDisney.
Happy holidays!
Jen
