Joan from NY Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

The dates were blocked out for Disney dining until this week for my trip in April. I wanted to reserve character dining breakfast preferably April 15th and nothing is available? please advise Thanks.

    Hi Joan!

I'm excited to hear that you will be traveling to Walt Disney World Resort this April! The theme parks are so beautiful during the spring and a trip to enjoy the Florida sunshine is the perfect way to thaw out from a cold winter. Be sure to include a trip to the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival in your itinerary so you can enjoy springtime with all five of your senses!

I'm so sorry you are having trouble making dining reservations for Character Dining meals. Advanced dining reservations open up 60 days in advance, which means that reservations are currently available through April 19. In addition, Guests who are staying at Disney Resort hotels can book reservations for their entire trip 60 days in advance of their check-in date. Unfortunately, since availability is limited, reservations for the most popular experiences are often booked very quickly, but there is still hope that you can enjoy Character Dining meals during your trip.

In my experience, I have found that reservations for many restaurants become available as your trip gets closer. In fact, earlier today I was looking for some last-minute dining reservations for an upcoming visit and I found reservations for Chef Mickey's and Tusker House Restaurant, as well as some other incredible restaurants, for dates as soon as tomorrow! So I recommend that you keep checking back for reservations at your "must-do" dining locations because they may become available in time for your visit and continue to check for available reservations while you are enjoying your vacation.

Joan, I recommend that you also keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as your trip approaches for info about new and returning experiences headed to Walt Disney World Resort. Also, feel free to come back to see us if we can help you again! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
