How can I see what dates are available at a specific resort

Hey there, Alta! Welcome Home - and welcome to planDisney! It's the best day ever when I get to chat with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, and I am delighted to point you in the right direction so you can plan your next magical adventure. Let's make some magic!

The Member website has a handy calendar feature that shows availability for a specific resort, but you have to get through a couple of steps to access it. If you haven't logged into the site before, your first order of business will be a call to Member Services, who can get you set up with access. Once you are able to log on, select the "Plan Vacation" option from the top of the page, then choose "Book a Vacation" from the drop-down menu. This will take you to a search tool where you will enter your party size, travel dates, room type, and which resorts you would like to search. I typically select all resorts when we're heading to Walt Disney World Resort so I can get a sense of what's available, but I leave the room type open to get a complete list of options.

When your search results come up, scroll to any of the options listed and click on it. This will open up a calendar view that shows the number of Vacation Points required for each specific date. Dates with availability will be blue on the calendar, while grayed-out dates are not available. This is really helpful if you have some flexibility with your travel dates and can adjust a bit to make your ideal accommodations work!

Alta, if you have your heart set on a particular resort that is showing gray on the calendar, don't forget that you can create a Waitlist request. I recommend booking something that is fully available so you have a confirmed option, then setting up a Waitlist for the other resort. Guests' plans do change, and the stars just may align for you!

Hopefully this information is helpful for your planning purposes. If you have other questions about your Membership or a specific DVC resort, please come back to planDisney and see us again anytime. We're always happy to help!

    Stay Magical,
    Susan
