What the dates for the 50th anniversary--It starts October 1st---right?? But when does it end?? (we never really want to end)

    Hi Priscilla!

Thanks for visiting planDisney - I'm excited to answer this question, because exciting things are on the horizon!

Walt Disney World Resort's 50th Anniversary Celebration is going to be amazing. "The World's Most Magical Celebration" begins on October 1, 2021, and will be an 18-month event. The celebration will last from October 1, 2021 through March 2023. 18 months of fun new experiences are being planned for all four theme parks during this time. I can't wait to see all the awesome things Mickey and his friends have planned to celebrate this milestone!

Special projection lighting packages will illuminate all four theme park icons, which include: Cinderella Castle (Magic Kingdom Park), Spaceship Earth (Epcot), The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (Disney's Hollywood Studios), and the Tree of Life (Disney's Animal Kingdom Park). If you've visited Magic Kingdom lately, you may have already seen the gorgeous bunting that's been added to Cinderella Castle - it makes me so happy to see these little touches in anticipation of the celebration.

Recently, Mickey and Minnie Mouse debuted their special 50th Anniversary costumes on Good Morning America. The EARidescent teal and purple outfits are only the beginning of all the fun surprises to come. In fact, EARidescence seems to be the color scheme of the Anniversary Celebration - and I'm here for it!

The latest Anniversary announcement comes in the form of a new attraction guests can enjoy in the France Pavilion of World Showcase at Epcot. Remy's Ratatouille Adventure is set to open on October 1, 2021! Guests will feel like they've shrunk down to Remy's size for this 4D adventure based on Pixar's Ratatouille. This all-sizes, all-ages attraction is sure to become a family favorite!

I agree with you - I never really want the party to end! I hope you'll soon be planning a visit during this special time of celebration at Walt Disney World Resort.

    See ya real soon!
