Hey there, Matthew! Welcome back to planDisney. I'm glad you stopped by as you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort.
I'm excited about the new
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and can't wait to speed through some lines on an upcoming trip. Once you are in the US, if you are staying at a
Disney Resort Collection or select hotel, you can purchase passes up to seven days before you check into your resort. Guests staying at Disney also get the benefit of being able to buy passes for the entire length of their stay (up to 14 nights).
If you are not staying at a Disney resort, you can purchase a pass and make selections three days before the day of your park visit. With a date-based ticket starting October 10, you could get a Multi Pass on October 7 if you are in the US, but only for October 10. Since you are arriving on October 16, you will be able to start booking that day for theme park visits for theme park visits between October 16 and 19. On October 17, you can purchase a pass for October 20.
The
Multi Pass attractions in Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios are divided into two groups. You can pick one attraction from the first group and two (or all three) from the other group. Once you have redeemed your first pass, you can make selections from either group. If your theme park admission includes the Park Hopper option, you can also make additional selections from other parks.
You can still use
Virtual Queues to access experiences like Tiana's Bayou Adventure, TRON Lightcycle / Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. These queues open at 7 a.m. for Guests to try to get a boarding group. There will be a second opening at 1 p.m. For the afternoon chance, you need to be in the park home to the attraction.
