    The date I want to visit is not available online. Is there a way to get on a waitlist if the park does not reach capacity by a certain time?

    Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for sharing your question with us. 

    Since you're coming tomorrow, I have an idea for you! I can currently see availability for reservations for Disney California Adventure Park tomorrow. So my advice is to book it as soon as possible if you can see the same. Then, you can try to upgrade your ticket to a Park Hopper at the ticket booth when you arrive. This ticket option will let you go back and forth between the two parks after 2:00 p.m., which is extraordinary. 

    Suppose you don't see availability when you read this answer. In this case, the best move is to book a room at a Disneyland Resort Hotel so that you can access their dedicated park reservation inventory.
