Hi we have a date paid ticket with park hopper can we book genie + for a different park that we intend to rope drop as an example rope drop animal kingdom and book a genie for slinky dog at 7 am for evening Thanks Ken

Hey, howdy, hey, Ken! Thanks for hopping by planDisney with your question about Disney Genie+! I'm a huge fan of utilizing this service on days that I plan to park hop, so I'm happy to chat with you about how to release the phenomenal cosmic power of your very own Genie!

Ken, when you purchase Disney Genie+ at 7AM, you will have the option to purchase it for a select theme park or the option to purchase it for multiple parks if you have a park hopper ticket. You are welcome to purchase it for any park that you have eligible admission to for the day, so even if you are park hopping and only want to purchase it for a different park than the one you're starting at, you are able to do so! In your case, since you will be visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom in the morning and then hopping to Disney's Hollywood Studios, if you purchase Genie+ just for Hollywood Studios, you can try to stack your return times for later in the evening so they'll be ready and waiting for you when you hop on over! I love this strategy because it allows me to minimize wait times later in the day when crowds are a little heavier, which makes park hopping more successful!

Since you mentioned booking Slinky Dog Dash first, I do think that is a perfect choice because the Genie+ times for that attraction do tend to book up quickly! Remember that once you've made your initial selection, you will be eligible to make a second selection two hours after the theme park opens. If you book Genie+ just for Hollywood Studios, you would go by the opening time for that theme park. I recommend setting an alarm on your phone for a few minutes before to remind and give yourself time to log in and see what attractions will be available for your next booking! I always say time is money when using Genie+ and every minute counts!

Be sure to take a look at all of the attractions that are currently included with Genie+ at Disney's Hollywood Studios. At this time, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is not included with this service, but can be accessed through a traditional standby queue or purchased a la carte with an Individual Lightning Lane entry. If you wish to purchase the Individual Lightning Lane, you can do so starting at 7 AM if you are a Disney Resort hotel Guest; otherwise, you will be able to do so at park opening.

Ken, I hope this helps you to make the most of Genie+. You ain't never had a friend like this, and with a little strategy and attention to timing, I'm sure you will find it helps you experience more attractions and less waiting throughout your day! If you have any other planning questions, come back and let me know!

    Wishing you magic and memories,
    Alison
