    What date is the new Star Wars: Galaxy Edge due to open at Hollystudio Studios in Orlando? Will it be the open by the start of August 2019?

    It sounds like you are just as excited as I am about all of the new things headed to Walt Disney World Resort this year! I am so excited about all of the new attractions headed to the theme parks, such as Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy and Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, new hotels preparing to open and the debut of the Disney Skyliner, which will offer a new source of transportation between theme parks and select Disney Resort hotels!

    Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is definitely going to be the biggest addition coming to Walt Disney World Resort this year. I can't wait to travel to a galaxy far, far away to explore Black Spire Outpost! The latest information we have is that Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will open at Disney's Hollywood Studios in Fall 2019. We don't yet have any more specific information about an opening date, so, unfortunately, we don't yet know if it will be open by the start of August 2019. I recommend that you keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog over the next several months to get the latest information about Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge as it's announced, as well as additional information about the other new things headed to the theme parks this year!
