Hi Rhonda!
The
holiday season at Walt Disney World is my absolute favorite! Every park and resort features specially decorated Christmas trees, yummy goodies, and gorgeous decorations. The process of decking the halls takes a bit of time, kicking off as early as mid-October with the official start on November 12. The most magical moment is the complete transformation of
Disney's Magic Kingdom from a spooky playground to a winter wonderland overnight on October 31.
There are so many fun holiday activities at the parks and resorts! My favorite holiday event is the
Candlelight Processional at
EPCOT. I love listening to the 50-piece orchestra and choir. Throughout the show a celebrity narrator retells the story of Christmas. While you're at EPCOT, don't miss the
holiday kitchens and holiday cookie stroll! There are five official
Holiday Cookie Shop locations and you can get a stamp on your Festival Passport for visiting each one. When you try all five, you get a special holiday cookie for free!
I also love touring the Walt Disney World Resorts to check out all of the beautifully decorated trees. I love
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa because of their gorgeous tree and life-sized gingerbread house! Their gingerbread shingles and gingerbread men are delicious!
You definitely don't want to miss out on the retro Christmas decorations at
Disney's Hollywood Studios!
Thank you for bringing your question to
planDisney! I hope you have a magical vacation!
Magically,
Stacy
