What date does Disney change from Halloween decorations to Christmas?

    Hi, Patty!

Welcome, and thanks for sending your great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I love visiting the Disneyland Resort during the holiday season because it's the only time of year when the Happiest Place on Earth is also the merriest!

Halloween decor begins to come down after the parks close on the evening of October 31. Winter holiday decorations and other seasonal extras begin appearing around the resort in early November, with the exception of the Haunted Mansion Holiday attraction overlay, which is complete around late September and remains through the holiday season until early January. In my experience, Christmas holiday decor is gradually added at night when the theme parks are closed and is complete by the middle of November. The official dates for Holidays at the Disneyland Resort haven’t been announced for this year just yet, but I expect it to be similar to last year’s timeline, which was November 10 to January 7. You’ll be able to enjoy special offerings such as the “Holiday Time at Disneyland” Tour, "Believe... In Holiday Magic" fireworks show and A Christmas Fantasy Parade!

I hope this helps you make your travel plans, Patty. Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
