Hi Jillian!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! This is a smart one, and I totally understand wanting to make the most of your upcoming visit and enjoy the magic all year long with an Annual Pass!
You're absolutely welcome to purchase your
Annual Pass now and hold onto it for activation after your trip. Your date-based tickets and your Annual Pass can both live in harmony in your
My Disney Experience account. It’s just a matter of making sure the right one gets used when you scan into the parks.
Here’s how it works: as long as your date-based theme park tickets are linked to your profile, the system will prioritize those first during your visit. When you tap in with your MagicBand or ticket card, the ticket that matches your park reservation date should automatically be used. Once your current tickets are fully used, you can then activate your Annual Pass the next time you enter a park, starting your year of magic right then!
If you want to double-check everything before your trip (which I always recommend for peace of mind!), you can stop by
Guest Relations or chat with a helpful Cast Member through the My Disney Experience app.
Welcome to the Annual Passholder family! You're on track for a pixie-dusted year of magic, Jillian! And if you ever need help making the most of your
Annual Passholder benefits or planning future visits, we’re always here at planDisney, ready to sprinkle in some extra magic.
Wishing you an amazing trip and a year full of happily ever afters,
Emille
