What date does the 70th anniversary celebration end? We would arrive in early Sept 2026.

Hey there, Fred! Welcome to planDisney!

What a happy day it is to see your question here—and what perfect timing, since you’re already dreaming about a visit during the dazzling Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration!

While Disney hasn’t yet announced an official end date for the celebration, we do know that the festivities are scheduled to continue through at least the summer of 2026. If you’re planning to arrive in early September, you might just find yourself arriving right at the tail end of this milestone event—though the official closing date hasn’t been shared just yet.

I hope you get a chance to experience this shimmering celebration for yourself, Fred. It’s filled with delightful touches honoring seven decades of wonder and happiness—from cheerful décor and commemorative merchandise to special limited-time treats and delightful entertainment offerings that bring seven decades of Disney magic to life. Every detail feels like a love letter to Walt Disney’s original dream—and all around the resort, you can almost hear the magic whispering, “Happiest birthday, Disneyland!”

And as if that weren’t enchanting enough, your visit will likely coincide with Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort! This spirited season typically begins in late August, transforming both parks with festive décor, character costumes, and boo-tiful seasonal treats. I was just at Disneyland Resort this past weekend and got to experience the Halloween fun firsthand—and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! From pumpkin-spiced bread pudding at Mickey’s Autumn Adventures Breakfast Buffet at Storytellers Cafe to the glowing jack-o’-lanterns of Main Street, U.S.A., it’s one of the most enchanting times of the year to visit. I hope you get to experience all of that Halloween fun when you arrive in September!

For the latest updates on both the 70th Celebration and Halloween Time, I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and the official Disneyland website as your trip draws closer—that’s where the happy details will appear first!

Wishing you a visit filled with smiles, magic, and memories to last a lifetime at The Happiest Place on Earth!

    See ya real soon!
