Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, your precious son can live a Star Wars adventure in this galaxy by flying the Millennium Falcon on a smuggling mission, building a custom lightsaber to continue the traditions of the Force, joining the Resistance for climactic battles against the First Order, and much more!
Disney’s Disability Access Service (DAS) can be used to join the Resistance at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance pending availability of course. I recommend the convenience of pre-registration in advance of your visit with the
DAS Advance option - 30-days before your arrival but no less than 2-days before arrival. This is a live, video chat with a Disney Cast Member to discuss this accommodation, and if granted, in consultation, you will be able to pre-select two one-hour return windows, pending availability. These are in addition to the return times you can request throughout the day
during your theme park visit. And this is where I would request Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance as one of two pre-selections, in my opinion.
You can still register your son for the DAS when at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
inside the theme park at Guest Relations if you wish, but the wonderful convenience now, once the DAS has been granted, is that you can select DAS Return Times within the
My Disney Experience App when in the theme park. Once you open and log into the app, tap the “More” button on the welcome screen and the Disability Access Service (DAS) button will take you to the pre-selection tool. You can also see the DAS option in the regular attraction list when ready to make selections. Anyone in your travel party can request DAS Return Times, either on the app, or physically at attraction entrances or nearby kiosks, but your son needs to be present when boarding an attraction.
