    DAS process

    Hi there, Paula!

    With special-needs members of our family, I feel grateful for the services for Guests with disabilities available at the Disneyland Resort. It helps make vacationing less stressful and more magical.

    The Disability Access Service (DAS) is for Guests who are unable to use a traditional standby queue at attractions due to a disability they have. Guests who may benefit from the service may register in one of two ways: DAS Advance or in-person registration.

    I recommend starting with DAS Advance. Between 30 and 2 days before arrival, Guests who wish to register this way must have all of the theme park tickets of their party linked to their Disneyland Resort account and have theme park reservations already booked. Between the hours of 9 AM and 8 PM, log on to your account from a device that has an operational webcam or built-in camera. From the DAS Advance page, click the “Request Live Chat” button to get in the queue for the next available Cast Member. Note that the Guest requiring DAS accommodations must be present for the online video chat portion of the interview. The Cast Member you meet will assess the Guest’s needs and determine the best ways that the Disneyland Resort can support them.

    If you don’t have an opportunity to register for DAS in advance, feel free to stop by any of the Guest Relations locations throughout the two theme parks. Again, the Guest requiring accommodations must be present. If you don’t happen to have all of the tickets linked to your account in the Disneyland mobile app, the Cast Member you meet can help with that as well.

    Tony’s Tip: City Hall in Disneyland Park or Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park are valid Guest Relations locations. But you can stop by any of the Guest Relations umbrellas for a shorter wait.

    Guests who register for DAS may make reservations for return times to one attraction at a time. Use the Disneyland app to book return times from the special DAS button that will appear in the ☰ feature menu of the app after registering for the service. Return times may be booked for the Guest needing accommodations and up to five other Guests linked to them. Return times booked will be comparable to the actual wait time of the attractions. But your party may wait for that time in a more comfortable setting or even enjoy other attractions in the meantime. That reminds me of something else…

    Tony’s Tip Times Two: To maximize the magic during your visit, you may also purchase the Disney Genie+ service. With Genie+, you may also book return times for select attractions that feature Lightning Lane queues. You may even book Lightning Lane return times at the same time you have a DAS return time coming up.
