Hi Cheryl,
Welcome to planDisney!
The Walt Disney World® Resort has a number of great
Services for Guests with Disabilities. With the
Disability Access Service (DAS), you can certainly leave the park and return to ride an attraction. Just keep in mind that with DAS advanced selections, you will have a time window to return. Our time windows have typically been an hour for most attractions. For the DAS selection that you can make when you arrive to a theme park, you will have a time to return. That DAS is active at that time or afterwards.
My suggestion is to keep an eye on your DAS return times in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. If you leave the park to return, just remember that travel time to and from your resort could take longer than you anticipate. We have, however, made a DAS in the park, have gone back to the room to rest, and returned after the DAS return time. We were still able to use that DAS return time because the DAS return times that we make during a day can be used until an attraction closes or the park closes. Just keep in mind that as long as you have an active DAS return time, you cannot make another one. So, typically, we schedule a return time, experience that attraction as soon as that return time allows, and then schedule another DAS return time.
Cheryl, I trust that you have pre-registered for DAS and made advanced selections. You can make two per day that you have valid theme park admission. These advanced selections have truly helped make it possible for my family to navigate the parks. If you still need to make advanced selections, be sure to check the current
list of eligible attractions for DAS advanced selections.
One final tip - it looks like the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will be in full bloom during your visit. I do hope you get a chance to stop by and enjoy the festival!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
