Lisa from NJ Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I have a DAS pass and visit the parks frequently with different family members. I also generally purchase Genie+ and use my DAS only when necessary. Can I change my family associated on my DAS in the park? Or do I need to do it via chat for each visit?

Welcome to planDisney, Lisa! Thanks for reaching out to us!

At this time, if you qualify for the Disability Access Service and would like to change the family members associated with it, you must do so through the live video chat, whether from home or in the parks themselves. So I would recommend doing it from home so it's all set to go before you get to the parks!

Since it appears you're a fan of Lightning Lanes like I am, it's important to note the exciting changes that have been made to this system. Let's go through the highlights:

    • The services you can purchase to reserve Lightning Lanes are now called Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. Multi Pass helps you reserve multiple Lightning Lanes for many of the attractions around the resort, while Single Pass is for the most popular attractions.
    • With Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can reserve 3 Lightning Lanes ahead of your visit. If you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can make these reservations 7 days ahead of your arrival date for your entire stay (up to 14 days). All other Guests can purchase and reserve their Lightning Lanes 3 days ahead.
    • For all of the theme parks except Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, there are 2 groups to choose from when making reservations through Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Each day, you can reserve 1 Lightning Lane from Group 1 and 2 from Group 2 (or all 3 from Group 3). With Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, all attractions available with this service are in 1 group.
    • On the day of your visit, once you redeem a Lightning Lane Multi Pass reservation, you can make another (subject to availability). If you have the Park Hopper Option added to your theme park ticket, this next reservation can be in your current park or the park you're hopping to!
    • With Lightning Lane Single Pass, you can purchase and reserve up to 2 Lightning Lanes per person, per day.
    • Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog leading up to your trip in case improvements are made to this system that you need to know about!
Lisa, enjoy your November vacation at the resort. If you have any other questions, I'll be here to answer them!
