Hello and welcome to planDisney, Kelly!
I am pleased to hear that you are registered for
Disney’s Disability Access Service (DAS), which will present you with alternative options while waiting for your DAS Return Time arrival window. The DAS accommodation will enable you to board any eligible attractions as well as those eligible attractions that offer a Lightning Lane entrance when your DAS Return Time has arrived.
The
Lightning Lane entrance is a designated entrance at select attractions that offer the Disney Genie+ service and registered DAS Guests are able to enter such an eligible attraction and use the Lightning Lane entrance when the DAS Return Time arrival window for that attraction comes up.
Kelly, you are welcome to utilize both the DAS accommodation and also opt into and pay the daily fee for the Disney Genie+ service with valid theme park admission and a
Disney Park Pass – Theme Park Reservation. You can opt-in and pay for the Disney Genie+ service anytime after midnight on the day of your theme park visit, and then be ready to make your first selection at 7:00 AM by using the My Disney Experience mobile app.
The Disability Access Service (DAS) accommodation can be accessed through the
My Disney Experience mobile app, where you, as the registered DAS Guest, and anyone on your DAS Guestlist may self-select a DAS Return Time, or a DAS Return Time may be requested at a Guest Experience Booth, or at an attraction entrance. Please note that you, as the registered DAS Guest, must be present when boarding an attraction once the DAS Return Time has arrived.
Tip:
Update your payment method on your
My Disney Experience app through
My Profile to enable app transactions such as
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, and add the Disney Genie+ service on the day of your theme park visit, among other vacation essentials.
Kelly, I hope I was able to clarify the DAS and the Lightning Lane entrance for you, and I wish you a most magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort, thank you!
Jacqueline
