Welcome back to planDisney, Georgina. Walt Disney World offers Disability Access Service (DAS) to Guests, and it sounds like you already have access to this helpful service!
I'm afraid the nighttime fireworks at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT are not listed as options to select for DAS. That said, some options are available that may suit your family.
The
Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Pre-Party may help. Enjoy some yummy treats before being escorted to a prime standing area in the Plaza Garden. At EPCOT, you could dine while seated outside on the patio at the
Rose & Crown Dining Room overlooking the shimmering waters of World Showcase Lagoon. It serves up a taste of home, too.
Fantasmic! Dining Packages offer access to VIP seating. You can always speak with a Cast Member at Guest Relations about alternative options on the day.
Please be aware that there will still be crowds, especially after the events. Honestly, my complete family has never been able to watch an entire evening show, but that's okay. We have always found plenty of magic to enjoy during our visits to Walt Disney World while staying within our child's comfort zone. I hope you all have a wonderful experience and enjoy everything you're looking forward to!
You may find it helpful to watch videos with your son about what to expect before your trip. Many are available, including ride views and evening spectaculars. They have helped things feel less of a sensory overload on arrival.
We find a break from the Parks during the day beneficial. Take a swim at your Disney Resort hotel, or enjoy one of the nearby restaurants. I recommend the
Grand Floridian Cafe, which you can access by monorail - our kids find this a ride in itself! If you would like to stay all day in the Parks, you can usually find some quiet spots for a moment of calm, at Tom Sawyer Island, for example. EPCOT (my beloved Park) deserves a special mention with calm spots in the Pavillions throughout the World Showcase, and
the Seas with Nemo & Friends aquarium is soothing for the soul. There are also play areas to burn off some energy just behind the Connections Shop.
If certain items provide comfort at home, such as noise-cancelling headphones or therapy putty, please bring whatever works for your child.
I hope that this response helps today, Georgina. All my best pixie-dusted wishes so you and your son enjoy a truly magical experience at Walt Disney World. If I can help with anything else, please do let me know.
