Welcome to planDisney, Amanda! I see your trip countdown calendar is down to single digits. So exciting!
Disability Access Service (DAS) is a program offered at the Disneyland Resort theme parks "to assist guests who have difficulty tolerating extended waits in a conventional queue environment due to a disability." Although it doesn't allow you to skip the line, you can request a return time comparable to the current standby wait. This will enable you to rest in a more relaxing and comfortable area. Many guests like to use this time to venture into the AC or grab a snack. The service is not for guests with mobility issues (with some exceptions), including those requiring a wheelchair or an ECV, although extra accommodations can be made if needed.
If you think you (or someone in your traveling party) are eligible, you can inquire in person at City Hall at Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce at Disney California Adventure Park. Recently, however, an option to
register for the Disability Access System from home using live video chat was added, which is a "game-changer" for many guests! You can do this through the Disneyland website 30 days before your visit but no less than two days before arrival. During the chat, you'll be allowed to book up to 2 one-hour return windows.
Before registering, make sure to link valid theme park tickets for each member of your party (the qualifying guest and up to five additional members), so they can be included in your DAS plans. Also, ensure that the guest requesting to use DAS is present during the video chat (or in-person) registration. During the interview process, a Cast Member will ask you what accommodations you (or your child) need in the parks and may ask what happens if those accommodations are not met. Your
Disneyland Mobile app will manage all your DAS return times. If you need any help along the way, contact
Disability Services at (407) 560-2547.
I hope this helps, Amanda! If you need anything else before your trip, the planDisney Panel is all ears!
