Welcome to planDisney Jamison! Thank you for sending us your question. How exciting that your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort adventure is almost here! Since you’ve already completed your Disability Access Service (DAS) registration and approval, I’d be glad to share how the recent changes with Guardians of the Galaxy affect DAS so you can enjoy your trip with confidence and ease.
Disney’s
Disability Access Service (DAS) covers Guardians of the Galaxy. You are correct, the virtual queue was removed in February 2025. The ride now operates with a regular standby line, which means it works the same way as most other attractions in the DAS system.
With DAS, you don’t need to join a virtual queue or boarding group anymore for Guardians. Instead, once you’re inside EPCOT, you can request a return time through the
My Disney Experience app. The return time will be based on the current posted standby wait, so you wait outside the line and then return to ride via the Lightning Lane entrance when it’s your turn.
This change makes it simpler, since your DAS registration and approval already allow you to use it for Guardians just like the other attractions that offer a standby option.
Jamison, I hope this helps you feel better about using DAS during your upcoming visit. With your plans already in place, you can focus on making magical memories with your family and enjoying all the excitement that awaits. Thank you for visiting planDisney with your question, and may your vacation be filled with joy, adventure, and plenty of pixie dust!
