For DAS, does everyone in the party need to have purchased the tickets on the same reservation? For example, we are going with my hudband (who has qualified in the past as a disabled veteran) and daughter. This time we are going with another family.

    Hi Lauren,

    Welcome back to planDisney!

How exciting to plan a trip to the Walt Disney World® Resort! If you are planning to register or pre-register for Disability Access Service (DAS), everyone in your party needs valid theme park admission and that park admission should be linked in My Disney Experience. While you do not need to have tickets on the same reservation, everyone does need valid admission.

If you have not already done so, I highly encourage you to pre-register for DAS. If you do plan to pre-register, make sure your husband and other friends are connected to your husband's DAS through his Family & Friends List in My Disney Experience. When I have registered for DAS in the past, I have been able to add up to five additional guests for advance selections. In the advance planning process, you can select up to two attractions per day that you have valid theme park admission. If you register in the parks, they should also be able to add additional guests with your husband's DAS. A cast member will confirm the number they can add.

As you continue to plan, keep in mind that your husband needs to scan in first for an attraction when using his DAS. Be sure to have the My Disney Experience Mobile App downloaded so that, in the parks, you can also book one attraction at a time using DAS.

Lauren, your planning sounds practically perfect! I will also add that we use advanced dining reservations to help us manage our time in the parks. Dining reservations reduce our waiting time in lines for food and give us much needed breaks during our days in the parks. Please stop back by if you have any additional questions!

    Magic and memories,
