? about DAS son is 5 & has several medical conditions.we always used the GA card which helped alot.W/ the new card is it just 4 him or is it like the old one where it was 4 all of us w/ him?he likes to repeat the same ride will he still be able

    Hi Mimi!

If your son is unable to wait in a regular stand-by queue, you should take him to Guest Relations to obtain a Disability Access Service (DAS) Card. They will ask you a few questions so be sure to explain all of his needs so that they can best accommodate him. They will take his picture to go on the DAS (or yours if you'd prefer) and go over the terms and conditions. The process will take a few minutes but they will do their best to make it as quick as possible. As with the Guest Assistance Card, the DAS will include your son and the number of Guests in his party.

Once you obtain his DAS, you can go to an attraction and see a Cast Member (CM) at the entrance to get a return time (based on the current wait time) to enter the FASTPASS (FP) or other alternate entrance if necessary. The Guest with the DAS will not need to be present to obtain the return time but must be present when their party enters the line and boards the attraction. The DAS differs from a FP because there is no window return time so there is no pressure to make it back to that attraction within a certain time frame.

You can only obtain a return time for one attraction at a time but you can go and get another DAS return time as soon as you've finished. FP and FastPass+ can be used in addition to the DAS.

I'm not sure if your son uses a stroller as a wheelchair or a wheelchair. If so and there are queues that require Guests in wheelchairs to enter through alternate queues, you will not need a DAS. For those attractions, you can see a CM at that attraction who will give you a return time to come back to the attraction based on the current wait time.

Here is a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the DAS that you may find helpful.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
