Greetings, Danielle, and a warm welcome to
planDisney!
I always enjoy helping my fellow
Magic Key holders, so let’s get started!
The Disneyland Resort does a wonderful job of making sure all Guests, including those with disabilities, feel comfortable and welcome at the Happiest Place on Earth! I have good news – yes,
Disability Access Service (DAS) is available for Guests with both theme park tickets and Magic Key Passes. To give you an example, my mom has a Magic Key, and she has qualified for DAS in the past. Here's how it works: Upon approval, DAS is linked to her Magic Key, and since her Magic Key is linked to her
Disneyland app, she can schedule return times conveniently from the app once inside the theme parks. She can include up to five other Guests to be linked to her DAS, so our family is able to stay with her, too. Once she schedules a return time, I’m also able to see the return time on my Disneyland app, since my Magic Key is linked to hers.
There are two ways for you to register for DAS, including using
DAS Advance, which allows you to
pre-register online as early as 30 days before your visit, and no less than two days before. The other option is to wait and register for DAS when you arrive at the Disneyland Resort. You can register in-person at City Hall (in Disneyland Park), Chamber of Commerce (in Disney California Adventure Park), or any
Guest Information location.
With DAS Advance, you'll have a live online chat with a Cast Member about the reason you’re requesting DAS. If approved, you’ll have the chance to book up to 2 one-hour return windows
for select experiences, subject to availability. This is in addition to the regular DAS benefit of making return-time selections throughout your day.
If you register in-person at the Disneyland Resort, you’d have a similar conversation with a Cast Member, who would then schedule your first DAS attraction for you. From that point forward, you’ll be able to schedule your own DAS return times using the Disneyland app.
I hope this information helps you enjoy a comfortable, stress-free visit to the Disneyland Resort, Danielle!
Wishing you magic,
Kristin
