Hi Darcy, I'm planning my first grand gathering to Disney World in Jan. I want to know if the Grand Experiences are worth the expense. They all sound great but I don't know about spending that much. I want to make sure they are a good value. Thank

I wish I could pass along some firsthand experiences for you, but I can't!  I've never taken part in any of the Grand Gathering Experiences, though I have planned a few Grand Gathering trips for four generations of family members.  The most recent of which took place last September when we attempted to book the Illuminations Dessert Reception that takes place at Epcot.  Unfortunately there was no availability for that or any of the other Grand Gathering Experiences when I called.  Just goes to show the importance of planning well in advance!

I'm sorry I couldn't be of any help.  You may want to ask Heather R. though because I believe she has done the Grand Gathering breakfast at Tony's in the Magic Kingdom.  Perhaps she could offer you some insight.

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
