Hi Darcie, I was searching for Kona Cafe and saw its one of your favorite. Would you mind help me decide whether we should go there for lunch or dinner? Both menu look good to us, which would you recommend based on food quality & ambiance? Thanks so

Hi Jessica!  Thanks for directing your question to me.  It always tickles my fancy to get some love in the way of a personalized question.  You read correctly; I do indeed favor the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian.  As for dining at lunch or dinner, that's an easy one.  Since both menus appeal to your clearly good tastes, I would definitely recommend dining during lunch hours.  Because the Kona Cafe is situated right across from 'Ohana--and features a very open layout--it tends to get quite noisy during the evening hours.  So noisy that it can be difficult to carry on a decent conversation with anyone but the person (or people) seated directly beside you.  If you want to enjoy a more intimate dining experience with your loved ones, I vote for lunch.  Truly, I think both the food and service quality are the same (that is, very good!) whenever you visit.  Enjoy your meal!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
