Hi Darcie, LOVE & appreciate your honest opinion:) We'll stay at BLT in upcoming 5day4nts trip. Plan 2 full days at MK. Would you please share your dining expertise on 4 TS/QS restaurants in MK & MK resort area? Thanks so much & have a great

Hey there, Jessica.  We're quickly becoming friends; I LOVE it!  I'm happy to share dining advice.  I'm a total foodie, so Disney dining is one of my areas of expertise.  If I were to choose four table and counter service restaurants (omitting Kona and Chef Mickey because we've already discussed those ones) in the Magic Kingdom vicinity, these would be my top choices:

    Table-service
    1. The Wave at Disney's Contemporary - breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all top-notch
    2. Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge - dinner
    3. 'Ohana - for a fabulously fun dinner
    4. California Grill - amazing food and service
    5. Cinderella's Royal Table - for a relaxed (and regal!) lunch.

(Yes, I totally cheated by naming five.  I was worried that you might not be interested in a signature restaurant).

    Counter-service

    1. Columbia Harbour House - lots of choices for lunch or dinner
    2. Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe - another location with a plethora of choices
    3. Captain Cook's at the Polynesian - a decent choice if you're in the neighborhood
    4. Tortuga Tavern at the Magic Kingdom - go for the taco salad!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
