Hi Darcie, Kona Cafe question - does "Kona Coffee" counts as specialty drink or is it covered as the included drink in the dining plan? Also heard Captain Cooks serve the famous Tonga Toast - is it the same as the one serve in Kona Cafe ? Thanks!

I'm sorry it took me a couple of days to get back to you, Jessica; your question had me stumped!  Here's the good news, though: I'm at Walt Disney World right this very moment, and I went right to the source to get an answer for you.  Cool, right?  I posed your question at Kona Cafe tonight and I was told that the single serving of Kona's coffee is indeed covered by the Disney Dining Plan.  If, however, you're wanting to go for the press pot (which serves two) you can "go in" with another person in your party and it would count as one drink for each of you.  Alternately, if you are wanting to order the press pot solo, you can do so with dining plan credits, as long as you are willing to have it count towards both your beverage and your dessert.  Good news, right?  I hope that helps!

PS.  The Tonga Toast at Captain Cooks is indeed the same as what is served upstairs at Kona.  I verified that tonight as well!
