Hi Dannee, We are thinking about going to Disney this summer. We hope to stay at the Nickelodeon hotel but want to go to Disney for a couple of days as well. We have a 10 and 2 year old. What month would you recommend and which parks

HI Tara! I love visiting Walt Disney World Resort in the Summer! I would recommend June and early July when the temperatures are not extremely high, but the weather this year has been a bit funny. A quick visit to weather.com will assist you in looking at average temperatures during the Summer months and is a useful tool for Summer vacation planning. Sunscreen is a must, especially for your littlest one, and that includes lip moisturizer with spf and a light weight hat or visor.

I believe that you will enjoy Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park the most for children ages 10 and 2. I recommend that you visit one Park for the entire day and do not try to Park Hop with a toddler. Please take advantage of the water attractions during the warmest parts of the day and remember to bring bottled waters. We used the stroller basket as a great storage area for bottled waters that we had frozen to last through out the day. It is also nice to plan a Character Dining Experience for lunch to take a break from the heat and enjoy the wonderful Disney characters.

Please feel free to send me any questions that you may have about dining options and other tips to help plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort. Happy Planning!
