Hi Danee, when booking a family trip, do you think the meal plans really help to save money? My family never seems to stick with a plan and typically want to eat things they see spontaneously. I worry that we would spend double the money. Thanks!

Hi Chemen! The Disney Dining Plan does save money when you have good eaters in the family that do not mind scheduled meals. This does not seem to be your family.  We have traveled to Walt Disney World Resort and chose to eat when we felt like it. We used Counter Service and Snacks for meals and we enjoyed the freedom of not having a specific timed meal to get to. We have also enjoyed the Disney Dining Plan and having reserved our favorite restaurants and Character meals for the experience that outweighed the spontaneity.  I truly believe that this is one of the great things about a Disney Vacation - choices! You can choose to do what works best for your family and it will work better to allow your family to enjoy your vacation.

Be spontaneous and enjoy the Magic!
