Hi our dance school is performing in Disneyland July from west Australia. Is there a space/grass outside Disneyland we can run the routine to rehearse prior to the day as most people are staying around Disneyland or at Disneyland? thank you Jennifer

    Hi, Jennifer!

As a mom of a dancer, I am so excited that your dance school is performing at Disneyland Resort! What a cool opportunity! My little dancer dreams of showing off some dance moves at Disneyland someday.

I noticed a new lawn area next to the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage in the Downtown Disney District when I was recently at Disneyland. It is near the Disneyland Hotel and there should be plenty of room to briefly rehearse a dance number, as long as live music is not taking place at that time. You do not need theme park tickets to enter the Downtown Disney District, although you must pass through a Security Checkpoint. If that area does not work out for you, I suggest talking with a Cast Member at the Disneyland Hotel to see if other options are available.

I recommend downloading the Disneyland mobile app after you arrive in the United States. It has many helpful features to help you navigate the parks, such as wait times and park maps. I also use the app to make Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane reservations and mobile order food. The mobile order option is such a timesaver! I like to pre-order my meal at least a couple of hours before I want to eat to ensure my preferred time is available. Some of my favorite restaurants that accept mobile orders are Cafe Daisy, Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, and Bengal Barbecue.

Jennifer, it is always lovely to hear from another Jennifer! It is a magical name! Please reach out to planDisney again if you have additional questions!
