Hi! Do Dance the Magic VIP celebration party tickets require regular Disney theme park tickets to attend?

Welcome to planDisney, Jessica! Participating in a special event at the Walt Disney World Resort is such a unique experience! My daughters have both had the opportunity to perform and compete over the years; one during the National High School Cheerleading Championships at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and the other parading down Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park as an All-American dancer! The memories they made combining their love of cheer and dance with the magic of Disney are extra special, and I know you'll have a similar experience next year!

Jessica, I looked into the details of your travel package through Dance the Magic and it does not specify that you will need a standard theme park ticket in addition to the VIP Celebration Party ticket to attend this event. With most specially ticketed events at the theme parks, you are allowed admission without a standard theme park ticket. As this information is subject to change and hosted by a third party, I would recommend reaching out to your event coordinator to be sure that these rules apply to your event. I know with the Varsity Spirit events we have attended, we received a wristband for admission, but since the event took place after regular park closing, we did not need to scan in with a regular park ticket. Of course, if you plan to be in the parks before the event begins during regular park operating hours, you would require standard park admission during those hours.

Jessica, during your visit, be sure to take advantage of capturing the memories with Memory Maker! You can share this service with up to 25 other guests connected to you on your Family & Friends account, so it's a great way to capture team photos during your special event and before and after your performance. Be sure to ask the PhotoPass photographers about MagicShots while you're stopping for pictures!

One last little bit of lagniappe for you, Jessica, since you'll be visiting in 2025, if you're staying as a guest at a Disney Resort hotel, be sure to take advantage of the complimentary water park admission on your check-in day if it fits your schedule! This new perk is a great way to dive right into the magic of your visit!

I hope this helps, and I hope you enjoy your visit and performance at the Most Magical Place on Earth! If you have any other planning questions as you count down to your visit, be sure to come back to planDisney and let us know! We're always here to help!

    See you real soon,
