I’ve damaged the the code on my &200 Disney gift card. Can I scan the card into the system? I have the EAN# but part of the account number is torn off.

Hi Jeff! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.

Disney Gift Cards are a great way to pay for merchandise and dining in the parks at participating locations, as well as purchase admission tickets. Did you know you can even use it to pay for a monthly Disney+ Service subscription? I don't know what I'd do without my favorite Disney+ shows! I've got a Disney Gift Card on my wish list this holiday season because it's a versatile Card I know I'll use and enjoy.

According to the Terms & Conditions, you can receive a replacement Card if yours is lost, damaged, or stolen, but only if you have the original receipt and the complete Card number. Now, it sounds as if you don't have the complete number. That might present a problem. There is a contact number for lost and damaged Cards in the Terms and there's also a Contact Us form. I'd reach out and explain what you have while knowing it might not be enough to restore the value of the Card.

In the future, if you receive or purchase a Disney Gift Card, be sure to register it online. I'd also suggest taking a quick picture of the back of the Card with my mobile device and saving it to your favorites just in case. You can combine multiple Cards online up to the $1000 limit. If you have a picture or registered your Card and have another Card on hand, even an empty used one, you can simply transfer the funds from the damaged or lost Card onto the other Card.

    I hope this helps!
