Hello Edith! I'm so glad you found us here at planDisney! We love helping our fellow Guests with personal advice and recommendations about maximizing their Disney vacations!
Edith, I hope I've understood your question correctly because one of the interesting things about Disney Destinations is that there are often similar names for very different locations! I know it can be a little confusing, but don't worry, because I think we can get you some answers, no matter what you may be looking for!
At Disneyland Resort in California, there are a couple of wonderful restaurants with the word "boardwalk" in the title and both are located within Disney California Adventure Park. The first is called
Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta which is a quick service restaurant that offers a delightful selection of classic and seasonal pizzas and pasta dishes. The other is
Lamplight Lounge - Boardwalk Dining, a table service location that offers small plates and signature beverages on its lounge menu. In both cases, you are correct that these restaurants do not accept reservations but are rather walk-up dining locations so you can enjoy them whenever is most convenient for you during their hours of operation! However because Lamplight Lounge - Boardwalk Dining is a table service dining location, it has more limited capacity and can fill up quickly. Unfortunately, there is no way to make a dining reservation at the Lamplight Lounge - Boardwalk Dining location, but right downstairs you'll find the larger
Lamplight Lounge which has a more comprehensive menu selection (that includes many of the Boardwalk Dining items) and nearly identical waterfront views of Pixar Pier. The best part is that you CAN
secure dining reservations up to 60 days in advance, so you don't have to worry about not getting on the walk-up list at the original Lamplight Lounge location! I highly suggest making advance dining reservations, because it is one of the most popular dining locations in Disney California Adventure Park and it has the cutest iconic theming after Disney-Pixar films you won't want to miss!
Edith, I have one more thought for you. In case I have misunderstood your question, and you are referring to
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, there is a lovely deluxe resort hotel called
Disney's BoardWalk Inn. If this is the case, I'd love for you to come back and
ask my fellow panelists more about Walt Disney World Resort, or you're welcome to
visit me again and ask me any follow-up questions!
No matter what, I know you're going to have a fabulous and unforgettable Disney vacation! Please don't hesitate to reach out to
planDisney again so we can help with any other questions you may have along the way.
Magic awaits you,
Tishra
