Hey there Luis,
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! It will be such a treat to return to the Disneyland Resort - while I'm sure a lot has changed since you last visited, it will still have that comfortable feel of Disney magic.
If you're planning on visiting using a
1-day ticket, the pricing will vary depending on which date you'd like to go. The Disneyland Resort utilizes a tiered ticketing system where tickets are assigned a tier (from 0-6) with lower tiers costing a bit less, but having more blockout dates on when they can be used.
You can learn more about these
1-day ticket tiers on the FAQ page, but I also wanted to add that you won't need to worry about figuring out which tier to buy when you purchase your tickets since it's done automatically for you based on the visit date that you select. As you purchase your tickets from the Disneyland Resort website, it'll ask which day you'd like to visit and include the cost of the tickets for that day. If you have flexibility in your schedule, you can look at the monthly view to see the different prices on the surrounding dates.
Alternatively, if you visit with multi-day tickets then those are a fixed cost no matter when you visit!
As for your second question, while I absolutely love staying at one of the
hotels of the Disneyland Resort, you do not need to stay in one of the hotels to be able to visit the parks. All you need is a valid theme park ticket and
theme park reservations for each day you plan to visit.
You'll make your theme park reservations as part of the ticket purchase process (if you purchase your tickets through the
Disneyland Resort website), but if you need to confirm them or change them, they can be accessed on the
My Plans hub after you purchase your tickets.
Thanks again for your question, Luis! I hope you have such a fun time visiting the Disneyland Resort.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
