Hi, Mia! Thanks for bringing this great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
The
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is a favorite among guests of all ages. This enchanting parade spectacular brings several favorite Disney fairy tales to life in a colorful display of music and motion. I would be happy to share some tips with you for making the most of this magical experience.
Although the parade floats are quite tall and easily viewed above a crowd, with
little Mouseketeers in your group, you will want to find a good spot with an unobstructed view. The best way to ensure a great view of the parade is to find a viewing spot early. I recommend finding your spot at least 30 minutes before the parade start time. If you can arrive early enough to grab a spot in the front of the viewing area, your little ones will not only have a great view, but also the opportunity to interact with the parade characters as they pass by.
If you choose to watch the parade from somewhere along Main Street, U.S.A., you will have the gorgeous backdrop of
Cinderella Castle for your parade photos. However, Main Street, U.S.A. and the castle hub area tend to be much more crowded than the Frontierland portion of the parade route. Sometimes it is easier to find a great viewing spot in Frontierland. Heading to Frontierland also gives you the advantage of viewing the parade earlier since the route begins in Frontierland before winding its way over to Main Street, U.S.A.
Another option you may want to explore is the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade Dining Package. Included in this package is lunch at
Tony's Town Square Restaurant and access to a special VIP viewing section for the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade. The VIP viewing area is located near the flagpole in Town Square. This location is much less crowded than other areas along the parade route, and you will have the perfect head-on view of the parade traveling right down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. with Cinderella Castle in the background.
I hope that your family enjoys the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade! Before your trip, be sure to check out these Disney Parks Moms Panel
tips for making magic with preschoolers.
See ya real soon!
